Second floor common room- Thursday night

Feeling particularly social today, Stacey had gone into the common room and made popcorn. She'd even made sure there was moddable popcorn seasoning available in case anyone else wanted some, and she could even put some on hers and not have to worry about it. Go Team Diabetes

Matt decided to take a break from his studies and following the smell of popcorn led him to the second floor.

"Hi," he called out as he walked into the room using his cane to guide him. "Who's here?"

Matt again pretended to give that a lot of thought. "Deal," he said. "Any particular channel you want?"

"Anything but this," she said. "No, really, anything."

Matt grinned and tossed his cane at the TV...

Turning the channel to Real Housewives of Atlanta.

"I'm not sure if I won or lost," Matt mused as the blonde housewife tried to sing a song for her new record.

"It could be worse..."

It could be something to make Rilla freak out.

Matt winced as the woman hit another bad note. "True," he replied. "Plus there's no more orange people. Next time I'll aim better."

He then leaned back on the couch and grinned. "So when are you taking me out for steak?"

"I thought you didn't know whether you won or not. Maybe you're taking me out," she said.

"Oh, come on!" Matt joked. "Are you really going to lie to a poor blind kid?"

"Fine, you won," she grinned. "But I might be owed something if we have to listen to that singing anymore."

"Well, I don't know," Matt said raising an eyebrow. "What did you have in mind?"

"Something like getting away from the bad singing?" she suggested. "Far away?"

Matt's grin was getting a tad sly now. "Well," he said oh-so-innocently, "I'm betting you couldn't hear her up in my room."

"Then I think your room might be a really good place to be," Stacey decided. Totally innocently. Yep.

"Well then let's get out of here before our ears start bleeding," Matt said pulling himself to his feet and gallantly offering Stacey an arm.

She took his arm and said, completely unironically to the blind guy, "Lead the way."

You're going to get concussed now or something, Stacey. Now look.

Well... she might not immediately get a concussion.

Immediately.

But in the meantime Matt was more than happy to lead Stacey back to his room where events can... happen. As they do.
