Third floor common room- Sunday afternoon

Annie was hungry. She'd fed Dolly (did you know droid babies don't like to be fed water?) and cleaned her room and that made her miss breakfast. She knew she could ask an adult or a big kid to make her some, but she had the mind of a big girl and was sure she could do it herself

Ben was checking the various floors for places droid babies might have been stashed or fled their weetiny parents this weekend, and discovered Annie and a whole lot of eggs.

"Wow. What are you making?"

Other than a mess.

"Eggs!" Annie said happily, holding up and unbroken one. "Want some?"

"Thank you," Ben said, taking the egg carefully. "Are you making them scrambled?"

She looked at the bowl of eggs (and eggshells, let's face it) and then back to Ben and nodded. "Yes!"

So she picked up the bowl and swished it from side to side. It was the same as mixing it with a fork, right?

"I can help!" Noah announced when he came into the common room and found some girl making breakfast. "What're you making?"

"Eggs!" Annie announced proudly. "Did you ever make them before?"

"My mommy makes them lots so I can grow up big," Noah told her, which didn't really answer the question. "I can help!"

"Those are good qualisfications," she said carefully. She still got it wrong, but good effort. "You should help me break 'em."
