Toby had just gone to get a little dinner for himself, but apparently the Chinese food place was in the middle of a 5-for-1 special. Which, well. He wasn't gonna turn down free food, but now he had entirely too much. Hence, common room, in hopes that he might be able to foist off some of this food instead of letting it go to waste ( Read more... )

"Absolutely," Toby grinned at her. "It's kinda cheesy, but I like it." A beat. "...The show. Not the food. I don't think there's any cheese in the food."

"It definitely has some entertainment value," Hanna agreed, reaching for a carton. She smiled a little. "Chinese food reminds me of my friends at home. We get together sometimes for Chinese and movies. It's fun."

Lately, it had been Chinese food and 'A' discussions. She preferred movies and cheesy television.

"I didn't really do a lot of this sort of thing back home, myself," Toby shared. "But apparently it's the thing to do here. I swear I didn't order this much food all for myself."

"Well, the extra food seems to be bringing people in, so I guess it's a blessing. Plus, extra food for free," Hanna said. "I'm Hanna, by the way. We have classes together, right?"

"I wish I knew," Toby admitted. Truth be told, he was trying to avoid spending as much time with his fake child as he could. Sure, his own baby sibling had been a boy while his and Annie's 'child' was a girl, but there were still memories there he'd rather not deal with. "I think it's supposed to teach us something about long-term effects of decisions?"

"I guess so? I mean, it's kinda working," Hanna said. "Though my fake baby is with her other mom right now, so I haven't had to deal with the kid, yet."

She was kinda worried. Even though it was fake, she wasn't about to shove it in a closet or anything.
