To say she was looking surly when she came in to find coffee and breakfast might be an understatement, and she was opening and closing cupboards with a little more force than was strictly necessary.

She was glad to hear activity down on the second floor, but a little disappointed to peek her head in and not see anyone she instantly recognized as any of her brothers' friends yet. Still, she cleared her throat and marched on in with a particularly brusque, "Good morning, everyone! I hope it's going well! I say, are those cartoons?"
That was apparently how Alexander talked, really.

It possibly wasn't difficult to figure out who she was, even as a sudden member of the opposite sex.
