Egads, Alexander thought to himself as he looked over the offerings of the day, that is a lot of snacks.
He had a handful of pretzels, munching on them, doing a very poor job of putting a dent in diminishing the level of snackitude available to them on this day.

A lot of snacks were just what Cally could use, thanks. Apparently her younger self had expended enough energy for a person three times her size, this weekend, because Cally was still struggling to catch up.

Far be it for Alexander to pass up the chance for a good spar to keep his mind engaged, but on something that wasn't French or government or any of the other many classes he had. He picked up a practice sword, glancing about for someone who might wish to partner with him.

Squall picked up a practice sword and twirled it. He sized up Alexander and decided he should take a moment to close his eyes and release all of his Junctions. He didn't want to beat the other kid too badly, after all.

The moment of what appeared to be reflection as Squall took up his own sword caught Alexander's attention a little, and he found a grip that his instructor back in Daventry would have at least not have been too disappointed.
"Well, Squall," he said with a grin, hoping that wasn't interrupting any reverie the other gentleman might be having, "might you do the honor of meeting me in a spar?"
