Fifth Floor Common Room, Thursday evening

Bruce was in an experimental mood. He sat down, turned the TV on, and turned on Project Runway. It worked. He was able to change it to exactly the channel he was trying to. He then tried changing the channel. Nope. No such luck for Bruce Wayne tonight.

[OOC: I'm bored. CR is open. Project Runway is on. Why not?]

Roy paused in the doorway for a moment before deciding that yeah, Project Runway seemed 'Bruce'-ish. He entered the room properly and joked, "Scouting the models?"

"Making sure I'm prepared for any fashion we might see this weekend," Bruce replied. "I figure it's best to play it safe."

"No, you're supposed to say, 'Actually, I used to date the blonde and the brunette in the really short thing. At the same time,'" Roy said helpfully. "Although I guess they're all wearing the really short thing, huh?"

"Unfortunately, I haven't dated a supermodel yet," Bruce said. "I figure I can stick to regular high school girls for another year or so."

Said the guy who had dated a superhero and was going to Homecoming with a mermaid.

Ino wandered in, happy as a clam and utterly relaxed.

She glanced at the screen.

Then at Bruce.

"...I don't think you're allowed to say nothin' 'bout what I happen to be watchin' next time we meet like this," she decided.

"This TV dislikes me," Bruce explained. "And I'd rather not leave anyone who comes into the room without conversation since the channel doesn't want to be changed."

"Hmmm," she said, amused. "You know, I think Cal used to pretend he lost the remote whenever Rumor Gal was on. Maybe this is more of the same thing? Tsk, tsk."

Bruce picked up the remote and started pressing the channel buttons to no affect. "It's a long-standing grudge. "I'll take this thing apart before the semester's over if I have to."

Leaning just inside the doorway, Cara tilted her head thoughtfully at the television. "I'm starting to think that thing isn't really as broken as you say."

That or Bruce was under a very specific curse.

Once again, Bruce held the remote up and started hitting buttons to no avail. "For the record, I never said it was broken. Just that it dislikes me."

"It dislikes you so much it's showing you pictures of oddly dressed women," Cara said, clearly amused. "You must have done something terrible to annoy it."

"Well, in this case I spent an hour mocking the show a few weeks ago," Bruce said. "So I'd be careful if I were you."
