Despite the fact that Bruce didn't like the show that was on and wasn't one for junk food, Bruce decided to stop into the common room on his way back to his dorm. Why? Natural curiosity.

"Are those bought or homemade?" Bruce checked.

"Bite your tongue," Sookie said with a smile. "They're homemade. I don't buy baked goods if I can help it. They're too easy to make."

"Maybe for some people," Bruce said. "But then there are those of us who appreciate the time and effort other people put into it so we don't have to."

"Yeah, some people shouldn't be allowed near a kitchen," Sookie agreed, holding out the plate of brownies. "But your appreciation is...well, appreciated. Help yourself."

"Those smell divine," Rilla proclaimed as she tripped lightly into the common room.

"And you can even taste them, too, Rilla," Sookie said with a smile. "I won't limit you to just smelling."

"And that is why you're my very favourite Sookie," Rilla declared, skipping over. "Thank you."

"Do you know other Sookies?" she wondered. She was pretty sure she was the only one in Fandom, anyway.

Like Bruce, Spock did not care for this show or for junk food, but he happened to find himself in the common room because I said so for no particular reason. "Good evening," he said politely, casting a wary eye at the madness on the television.

"Hi!" Sookie said cheerfully. She almost offered him a brownie before remembering a long-ago common room where Spock had said he couldn't have chocolate. Seemed cruel to offer him some, in that case. "How're you tonight?"

"I am quite well, thank you," Spock said, inclining his head slightly to her. "And yourself?"

"I've got brownies and bad TV. I can't complain," she assured him with a bright smile.

The smell of chocolate was indeed a powerful draw, bringing William all the way up from the second floor to investigate.

"Is this your handiwork?" he asked upon entering the room.

"It is," Sookie said cheerfully, holding out the plate. "Help yourself, hon."

"Are you certain?" William asked. "I mean, if these are meant for someone I couldn't possibly..." but they did look really good... whatever they were.

"They're for everyone to share, sweetheart. Eat one. It'll ease my conscience -- and help me maintain my figure, since I'll eat 'em all myself if you don't," Sookie said with sad, sad eyes.

Bobby was still nearly bouncing off the walls in excitement over his classes today.

The fact that there was the smell of cookies just made his excitement all the more. "Hi!" he said, waving to the room at general and introducing himself to Sookie. "I'm Bobby McCallister!"

Rilla waved back. "Hello, Mr. McCallister. Are you Scottish?"

"No, I'm American," he replied. "I mean, I'm from the United States. Missouri. Are you Scottish? You don't sound it."

"No, I'm from Prince Edward Island," she said, smiling, "home of the Douglases, the Elliots and the McAllisters, who have all traveled from the Auld Sod."
