Kyle had only been on his way back to his room, but the sight of pie as he glanced into the common room made him change his mind. He went to investigate, and then saw Sookie. "Are these for sharing?"

She nodded mutely, then decided it would be polite to answer verbally. "They are. Apple and strawberry." She was keeping the pecan one for herself. "Help yourself."

"Thanks." He cut himself a slice of apple and came to sit down. "Rough weekend." It was more a sympathetic statement than a question.

"Yes," she agreed, nodding a little. "Yes, it was."

"Anyone visit you?" she asked after a moment.

So Bobby had absolutely not been moping, really. Except for how he kind of had been. He'd even tried to go out into the woods and find... whatever it was the people who'd had visitors had found, without any luck.

"Hey," he greeted Sookie, wandering over to the pies and giving her an inquiring look.

Sookie glanced up, gave him a tiny smile, and said, "Gran and I baked before she left. Want some?"

"If I ever turn down food, that's how you'd know something was either terribly wrong, or I'd been replaced by an alien clone," Bobby pointed out.

Dandelion had no dead people visiting her. In fact she had planned to spend the day at the beach basking in the blazing hot sun.

But every damn secluded spot was taken so she flopped down in common room.

"Okay, peoples! Where's the free food?" she demanded. "I need sugar. Or salt. Maybe both."

Sookie could have done with a 'hello' or a 'please,' she thought. But she glanced up, all the same, and said, "There's pie, if you want."

"Oooo. Pie," Dandelion said looking appreciative. "Please and thank you twice. What kind?"

"Apple and strawberry," Sookie said, gesturing. "Help yourself."
