4th Floor Common Room - Monday Afternoon

For once Rose didn't feel like being outside - something about the humidity or the thunderstorms or whatever. She didn't feel like being in her room which still felt too empty without Morgana there either so she found herself down in the common room with the music turned up loudly

"Something's wrong with this scene," Jake decided, observing from the door. Whether he was talking about Rose baking or the lack of actually cookies in the oven remained to be seen.

Rose glanced over, scowling at him a little. "Your face?"

"You're right," he agreed easily. "My face's way too handsome to be dragged down by your looks, but you shouldn't be so worried about me. You won't drag me down."

"You should try that mean girl crap on someone who actually cares," Rose advised. "Me, I know I'm hot."

Occasionally, just occasionally, she was drawn to poke her head in to common rooms. Sometimes, it was even worth it. Like today when there was Rose, and the preparation of cookies to be caught sight of.

"... Wow." Her often abused little smirk, of course, was present. "How domestic. Didn't know you had it in you."

"Oh shut up," Rose grumbled, sending her a glare with a hint of amusement in it. "I'm eating the cookie dough."

"Scared you'll set the place alight playing with the oven?" she teased, wandering closer to peer at it.

"More like scared I'll ruin the cookies and there's only one tube of dough in there," she admitted, smirking just a little. "Why? Do you have magical baking talents you wanna show off?"

Luke's room wasn't anywhere near this floor, but he was bored and was looking for people to talk to.

"Making cookies?" he asked, noting the wary look on the girl's face. That was encouraging.

"Um," Rose made a face. "Nah, just eating the cookie dough. It's probably safer that way."

"What, you don't think catching things on fire is fun?" he asked.

"Things? Yes," Rose replied with a smirk. "Cookie dough? No way. Why? Are you a bit of a pyromaniac yourself?"

"Tell me you're not going to cook that," Dru said as she wandered into the kitchen in search of something dinner-like.

"Hey! I don't cook that badly," Rose lied before making a sheepish face at Dru. "Nah, I think cookie dough's going to be the way to go here. Less chance of grossness."

Dru grinned, "It tastes better that way anyway. I have been known to call it dinner on occasion."

She reached into a drawer and flipped Dru a spoon before offering the tube of cookie dough. "Dinner, lunch, afternoon tea, whatever."
