Cassidy had made her way up to the gardens again. It didn't matter to her that it was already starting to get warm and sticky out. The land needed love no matter how you may or may not feel

But that didn't mean she couldn't spare some time to take a detour to the gardens, right? Right!
"Ah ha," she said cheerfully as she spotted a new girl. "I knew there was someone else working in the gardens."
Look, Ino was the one that had planted them in the first place. They weren't just hers any more, of course not, but Ino still knew her way around the garden very very well.
"Who could stay away from a garden?" she teased, wandering over and looking curiously at the visible? shield. "That you couldn't means you've got good taste."
Cassidy shook her head, "Not me. I never have been." The shields are invisible but someone who can sense magic might be able to sense they are there.. "I've always been drawn to the land even before I could walk." She smiled. "I'm Cassidy."
Hayley herself was exercising her tomboyish instincts that day, and had gone exploring because she had so little time left to explore the island. This led to her discovery of the gardens, where she ended up in a tree.
Not, like, 'surprise, you're in a tree' or anything; she'd climbed up it of her own free will.
So Hayley peered through the branches down at Cassidy and spoke.
"You're making sure the weeds are growing healthy?" Hayley joked, wondering if she'd be safe to just jump down out of the tree. "That's some crazy gardening, if you ask me."
"Kiss kiss." Karla's voice was amused. "Is there room for another Queen, do you think? Or should I wander off and try to find another garden?"
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Karla was also dressed in cast-off clothing. She had a wardrobe plenty big enough, but when it came to tasks where getting dirty and sweaty not like that, omg was inevitable, they were the perfect choice.
Ino really ought to, you know, get to work--but she could always stay later to make up the time.
"I can't speak for Cassidy," Ino noted, giving Karla a wave from where Ino leaned against one of the trees, half shaded and not particularly visible until she'd spoken. "But I think it depends on how you are at sharing."
"You ask that after I gave you my own drink at my birthday party?" Karla asked with a mock-pout. "I'm hurt, Ino. Possibly to the point of tears."
She sounded so broken, yes.
Karla turned to look for Ino. The other girl's psychic scent has told Karla she was nearby (or, at least, had been until very recently), but that hadn't made her easier to spot.
Ino's grin was just a bit smug when she realized what Karla was doing and she pushed herself away from the tree. Ino? Was wearing pink. That really hadn't effected her ability to hide, no.
"Now now," she said, "if you cry then people'll start to think I'm a bully and that's not fun at all."

"Nothing much yet. I'm just clearing out weeds and making sure the ones already growing here are healthy."
