3rd Floor Common Room [Saturday Evening]

Mar 13, 2010 16:46

True to what he'd said last night, Bobby was spending tonight doing much the same thing: that is, hanging out in a common room with a bag full of chocolate, aimlessly flipping through channels and hoping people would stop by and be entertaining.

Sookie was bored. Thus, she wandered all the way down from her own floor until she found one that had someone or something interesting in it.

Thankfully, this one had Bobby and chocolate. Score. "Are you sharing?"

"With you?" Bobby grinned. "Always."

"And what if I brought Tina down here? Would she get any?" Sookie paused thoughtfully as she found a spot on the couch to sit. "Wait, can cats have chocolate? Is that a thing? I know dogs can't."

"I... am not actually sure," Bobby admitted, holding out the bag of chocolate. "Probably not. Isn't most people food kinda bad for animals?" Never you mind what he'd eaten as a penguin. Never you mind.

Tara, restless after a few days and no more word from Kennedy, took Mr. Moxy and went in search of company.

"Hey," she said, flopping onto a seat and staring at the TV with the kitten still on her lap. "So, uh, are we watching anything?"

"Nothing in particular," Bobby admitted. "Only thing interesting on is that crime show where they do autopsies a lot," he wrinkled his nose. "Can't watch that while I'm eating," he gestured to the chocolate.

Tara wrinkled her nose. "Yeah, it makes my tummy all icky," she said. "I'm -- not such a fan of blood. And I'm not even eating."

"No crime show then," Bobby said solemnly. "Especially not with young and impressionable cats in the room," he added with a nod towards the kitten.

Leia had spent a good part of the day reading up on the Queen Elizabeth they'd learned about in class on Friday, and now she finally ventured out into the common room to find something to eat. "Hi, Bobby," she said. "What are you watching?"

Two dimensional TV was so archaic.

"So far?" Bobby shrugged. "All we've done is rule out the gross crime show."

Leia wrinkled her nose. "Good," she said. "There must be something better than that on."

"Magical Capin' Justice Magicians?" Bobby tried.

Mat was bored and hungry.

Oooh, a common room with people and food!

Mat was so lucky.

"Good evening, all," he said, smiling.

"Hello, Mat," Leia said with a smile, tossing a piece of chocolate (stolen from Bobby) in his direction.

Mat snagged the chocolate neatly out of the air and bowed at her. "Thank you kindly."

"You seemed to be paying close attention in class yesterday," Leia remarked, nibbling on her own piece of chocolate.

"Hey peeps," Hurley said, wandering into the common room that was very much not his own.

He paused when he got to the fridge.

"Oh crap, I forgot to go to work today," he declared.

Mat, having been greeted in the same manner, tossed a piece of chocolate at Hurley's head.

"That's how you get left on the side of the road with nothing but your boots to call your own," he said.

There wasn't unemployment where he came from.

"Yeah, I'm just lucky my boss is way cooler than the guys that run Mr. Cluck's back home," Hurley said, bending down to pick up the chocolate which had fallen to the ground after it had hit his head. "Thanks for the chocolate, dude. Though I think a 'heads up' woulda been nice."

He was still smiling, though.

"I was greeted in this way when I came in," Mat said blithely. "I thought it was a local custom."

Mat was a big liar.
