Ender hadn't really been looking for a party, but he wasn't going to avoid one, either. When he made note of the supplies on the fourth floor, he had to duck his head in. "Making up for the mass desertion?" he guessed.

"Exactly!" Angela agreed, grinning at him over her shoulder. "I knew there had to be a few of us sticking around, and nothing going on just seemed wrong."

"It's been way too quiet the last few days."

"I don't know," he said, smiling a little. "'Quiet' has its perks. But so do holiday parties."

If you wanted to be a part of the community, anyway. "So how have you been, Angela?"

"There's peaceful, and there's too quiet," Angela decided. There was a big difference between the two in her opinion.

"But I've been really good," she said, nodding. "I mean, possibly not in the way that'll get me a stocking full of presents--" Although that depended on your opinion "--But it's been fun."

"You?"

Hurley wandered into the common room, wearing a santa hat and... a red and green Hawaiian shirt.

"Merry Christmas, dudes," he greeted.

"Merry Christmas," Ender returned, tipping his head in greeting.

"Better than the last few I've had," he admitted, freely. "If simply because my roommate's hard to get rid of. You?"

Mirax still hardly understood Christmas, but that wasn't going to stop her from finding the party in the common room. Besides, what she'd seen of the holiday, she'd liked.

"You'll have to pay me to wear a hat," she warned anyway.

"If you don't look like a complete idiot, you're really not getting into the spirit," Angela claimed, offering her a cracker.

"I'm pretty sure that message didn't come across in all the TV specials about it," she pointed out, taking the cracker.

"You have definitely been watching the wrong specials," she decided, shaking her head with a grin as she pulled on her end.

If luck was with her, Mirax was going to end up with a hat whether she liked it or not.

Hannibal was late late late late pinging in but couldn't resist a little slower to get in gear (special day or not) but he eventually puttered down to the common room on the hunt for some food.

And his girlfriend. But the food too. Holidays didn't mean he couldn't sleep in some and be lazy. It was a day off after all.

"Good sleep?" she teased, practically bouncing her way over. There may have been a couple of eggnogs went into this extra chirpy mood of hers.

"Obviously not as good as yours," he said, smiling at that bounciness. "You popped some caffeine pills or something?"

"It's the middle of the afternoon," Angela pointed out. "I really shouldn't need caffeine pills."
