"No concussions," Elena agreed cheerfully. She flopped down on a nearby seat. "How have you been, then? I don't think I've seen you around lately. It's a small school, but it's far too easy to lose people."

Agnes walked over to try to be sociable, but she had to take a moment to peer at the tofu dogs. "I hope I don't sound awful," she told Layla, turning a bit pink as she did, "but I'm afraid there's something horribly wrong with your sausages."
