Arthur was generally not one to be around the common room when the television was on, but he had smelled food. So far, no one had poisoned him with common room food yet, and with any luck, that streak would keep up.
"Yep, he's been a good big," Claire said. "And I got lucky with having a roommate who wasn't totally new. Dinah's been a big help with getting adjusted to life in Fandom."
"I'm Arthur Pendragon," he said, having settled on that variation of his name-and-title for the day. "'And stuff'. Aren't you the one who keeps walking in on my manservant?"
"According to the squirrel notes, you keep wandering in at the wrong time," he said, dryly. "I'm sure it's nothing."
Merlin had this habit of hugging trees on occasion. And other things. Beyond people who were actually dicks (being, for example, Leto Atreides the Second), Arthur had a hard time picturing him actually hating anyone.
"Morning. What's that you're eating?"
He wasn't going to pass comment on the colouring.
