Fourth Floor Common Room, Monday Afternoon

Apr 06, 2009 11:46

Done with classes for the day, Hannibal had wandered into the common room with the intention of bonding with the couch and television set. It seemed like a good way to start forgetting the past few days. He was just going to avoid things with dead people and...hell, he was just going to watch cartoons.

And, like a few people already, he was too caught up in those cartoons to see the little green gremlin sneaking across the back of the couch. He certainly felt the gremlin's presence when the little green bastard sunk its teeth into Hannibal's shoulder.

"Fuck ow! Goddammit!"

The change was quick and then Hannibal was up and off the sofa, grabbing his microphone (or a bottle of ketchup) and standing off to one side of the common room. Had to wait for his introduction, after all. When he was finally announced, Hannibal came sweeping into the middle of the room, smiling at his audience even if there was absolutely no one there. Wait for the applause to die down and then Hannibal raised the mic and started talking.

"Welcome! Welcome! I'm so glad you could join me today on the Sally Jessy Raphael show," he said, grinning widely and pushing the imaginary huge red glasses up. "Now, how many of you have had a tragedy affect your life?"

He waited, turning his head left and right to watch the audience's hands go up. She nodded sympathetically.

"Yes, I think we all have. Today's show is all about those tragedies. Today, we will meet guests from all walks of life, from the lowest of the low to the highest of the high. Those with secrets that could tear their families apart."

Sally Jessy didn't care about exposing those secrets on national television. Psh, they signed on!

"And hopefully, we'll help mend a few broken hearts." Or make some people bust theirs with laughter. "Anything could happen today! Let's get to our first guest!"

And with that, Sally Jessy thrust an arm towards the door of the common room, waiting for her first guest to arrive.
