With a big sigh and dragging feet, Turtle had made her way out of her bedroom, down the hall, and into the common room, where she ceremoniously snatched up the remote control before plopping dramatically onto the couch. Annette was carrying Chinese take out when she peeked her head into the common room, maybe looking for someone in particular. Just cause maybe he was wandering around and trying various common rooms out of pure boredom. Who knew. Anyway, there she was, and she saw Turtle.

She could just turn around and leave and she knew that. Probably without Turtle being aware. But Annette was kind of nice lately. That's why she tried to sneak up behind Turtle, and yelled, "BOO!"

Well, there was C-Span. C-Span was pretty enthralling.

Or hypnotic. Turtle wasn't paying the least bit of attention. Which is why, when someone sneaked up behind her and yelled, she jumped about a foot, sputtering something that sounded like gibberish, and sending the remote control in her hand directly toward the face of whoever her assailant was.

And it popped her in the nose. "OW! GEEZE!" Annette stepped back, one arm holding containers of Chinese, the other moving her hand to her nose, checking for blood.

Okay, it wasn't that hard, but checking for blood was just a normal reaction when you got hit in the nose. Annette still remembered when she got hit with that ball when she was on the roof with Chad. Worst bloody nose ever omigod.

Turtle winced a little when she realized that it had only been Annette, but she didn't feel bad about it, really. A pop on the nose was lucky for someone sneaking up on a girl who had good reasons to be worried about stuff like that. Head tilted back against the arm of the couch to look at the other girl, Turtle narrowed her eyes a little and said, "Usually, you greet people with Hello, Annette, not by scaring the living bejeebus out of them."
