Third Floor Common Room: Sunday Morning

It had been a long night and for some reason the kids were early risers. So it was a pretty groggy Mel who dragged her kids down the hallway and started setting them up with bowls of cereal and turned on TV in the hopes that it would keep them occupied until the coffee began to work.

"Ron. Seriously. It's a potted plant. Stop hugging it."

Jordin ran ahead into the common room, smirking back at her dad, "See! I told you I knew the way."

"Old enough for mommy to kick your A-S-S," Jordin said knowledgeably. She paid attention all the time.

"Hi!" Loo shouted with her mouth full. "I'm Loo!"

Jaryd was super excited to be in the common room and screamed back, "I'm Jaryd! Wanna play?"

"Okay!" Loo bounced. "What do you want to play?!"

Jaryd was overwhelmed with that question, "We could play TV tuner, or sofa fort, or Ninja Pilot, or Warrior Jedi, or or or..."

"What's a sofa fort?" Loo asked because that sounded the least confusing.

"Oooh! Sofa fort's like you take the sofa apart and stand up the pieces and cover 'em with blankets and pretend we're on Hoth and it's soooo cold!" Jaryd enthused.

"I like the cold!" Loo said heading over to the sofa to start dissembling it. "I get to go penguin sledding any time I want!"

"What's penguin sledding?" Jaryd asked, tossing cushions to the floor haphazardly.

"It's when you bribe a penguin with Seal jerky and then have them let you ride them as they slide down hill on their bellies!" Loo exclaimed as she jumped on the couch. "It's the best!"

Jaryd's eyes went really wide, and he was momentarily distracted from makin a mess of the sofa. "I wanna do that!"

"Hiiiii," Kazuki told the little girl with curly hair. "You're pretty."

Clearly, he had all his father's subtlety with the ladies.

Jordin raised an eyebrow, "Yeah, but I'm also a Jedi."

Her mom would be so proud.

Kazuki raised an eyebrow right back at her. "So?"

He didn't want to admit he had no idea what a Jedi was.

"So," she tossed her hair over her shoulder, "I'm going to be very busy saving the universe and it doesn't matter if I'm pretty or not."
