It could be said that Ferris hadn't been seen much lately. That wasn't a mistaken observation. Yet here he was, as if he belonged, flopping onto one of the chairs and hanging his legs over the side. "Another Thursday night and nothing exciting happening. What's wrong with this island? There could be parties."

Romeo gave Ferris half a wave, muting the TV and looking distinctly more alert as he set his carton of food aside. He hadn'tr been to a party since ...

Okay, since Yurika's birthday party Sunday. But it was never too soon for another. "Things are quiet this week, at least," he said. "We should do more. Are you offering to host?"

Ferris thought about it for a moment. "Romeo, I think that's an excellent idea. Next week, we're going to have a party."
