Savannah's letter from the past, and his conversation with her earlier today, had convinced Anders that there was something he had to do tonight that he hadn't done in a long, long time. And he was really past due for doing it.

So yes, that's right, he was in the common room with mixing bowls, baking tins, and a whole lot of boxes of cake batter

Makoto had been considering going for a walk now that it was safe, but the smells coming from the common room on the floor below caught 'her' attention.

'She' poked her head in. "What're you making?"

'She' laughed. "That'd be amusing though, so long as I still got the money."

"I'm no expert on financial stuff, but I think that might be a problem," Anders remarked. "It's a nice name, though. Yours, I mean."

"I could always ask in class next week, but I suspect you're right," Makoto laughed, "and thank you. Now I've just got to remember to tell people it."

"Just remember," Anders said, "it's better than wearing a nametag. Or you could wear one that says 'Ask me what my name is,' but that might be kind of weird."

'She' grinned. "The second option would, however, have the chance to start more conversations."
