There are far stranger sights than a young man, reading in the common room, with a small fluffy bunny on his chest nibbling at a carrot

Ino was bored. So she wandered. Thus, when Ino spotted Liir... well, there was a grinning little sister sneakily creeping up behind him to cover his eyes with her hands.
Kabuto didn't leave his room often, but with basically nothing to do now that his big project was done, he was having to find other ways to keep entertained. There weren't many people around, since nearly everyone was gone to Mexico, so it took actual effort to find anyone.
For being as antisocial as he was, Kabuto did like to be around people sometimes. Just not a slew of them.
A boy, a bunny, and some fresh-baked cookies weren't an issue.
"Afternoon," he said to Liir with a little fingerwiggle of a wave. "One of the few not going to Mexico?"
"I prefer the peace that comes from most of the student body being away. It's much easier to get work done." When, of course, one had work to do. Kabuto was trying not to squirm from that. "What are you reading?" he asked interestedly.
"A book on the workings of the mind," he said. "Or so it is right now. The book itself deals with conditioning the mind to properly work magic. I'm in the position of requiring such, uh, conditioning. Quite a lot."
He pointed at the sleeping rabbit and resisted leaning down to kiss the fur between his ears.
"It's Andrew. I'm taking care of him while this wears off."
And there was a hint that if it didn't, he'd raise an unholy ruckus until it was fixed. The broomboy was displeased. Or as displeased as someone with a cute fluffy bunny boyfriend in their arms can be.
"Apparently," and yes, he did sound just a touch grumpy about it. One bit of fluff against his cheek didn't quite do the same as his usual Andrew-shaped pillow. As hard as the little bunny tried.

"And have plenty of work because of it. Also, I'd rather be here, if it's all the same. You as well?"
