Second Floor Common Room, Saturday Midday

Ronan had gotten bored of cooking upstairs, so when he thought he'd make some lunch for people on Saturday, he handwavily called Peter and asked him to meet him down in the second floor common room. Of course, then Ronan had needed to explain why he was carrying a long wooden staff not dirty, and they hadn't yet gotten around to cooking

"Please tell me that's not actually a piece of him," Peter said. Because he honestly couldn't rule that out.

Ronan shook his head -- but he'd been concerned about that himself when he first received it. "No, it's from one of the non-sentient trees on his planet. ... As much as any trees are non-sentient. The ones in question are more like our trees, though, not a 'dominant' life form like humans or cats. Good for helping out, but no wizards of their own."

"Uh huh," Peter said, nodding like that had made any kind of sense to him.

"Aaaanyway," Ronan said, drawing out the word, even as he hefted the staff a bit. "Filif sent the staff to me because it needs to be in the possession of an Earth wizard for a day or so. He didn't really explain why."
