Johnny was just headed out of the shower when he thought to get a glass of orange juice. Heading into the common room he did just that but noticed that hey! cartoons were on!
Sitting down, he was just only going to stay for a minutes while he watched the coyote blow up stuff. He loved this cartoon!
She'd been told that the common room was pretty much the place for that.
So, faster than three blinks of an eye, Kara had showered, dressed, and then slowed down enough so that was walking like a normal human girl towards the common room, dressed in her red Ugg boots, a denim miniskirt, and a long-sleeved red and blue top.
The sound of a cartoon was heard loud and clear as she poured herself a cup of coffee and toasted a bagel for herself.
Kara turned around to see a handsome face marred with an entirely too happy and goofy grin greeting her.
"Good morning," she said pleasantly. "I'm not...disturbing you, am I?" Because Rao knows that when it comes to a boy and cartoons, sometimes they like all the nonbotheration they can get.
"Nope, just enjoying my o.j. with a little cartoon on the side." Johnny glanced down just to make sure the towel around his hips was tucked in in all the proper places before he indicated one of the many chairs close by. "Have a seat. I'm Johnny Storm, by the way."
"You can never use up such a quota, if there even is such a thing," he chuckled. "Seriously, I wouldn't be shirtless if I hadn't of wanted o.j., Savannah probably wouldn't like it." Or maybe she would, hmm.
Johnny glanced over at Reno. "It's a Fandom thing. Not the television watching but the shirtlessness. You'll soon learn that." He quirked a brow and asked with a wry twist of his lips, "You have an aversion against the shirtless, Reno?"
No, he hadn't thought about how much shorter Luke was than this guy. Droids don't wear clothes, so he thought everything was pretty much interchangeable.
Not a problem. Johnny didn't mind the slight mid-drift. 'Course, it was a little snug in his shoulders and back, and his chest... yep, it was pretty much small all 'round, but Johnny appreciated the thought.
"I'm thinking Luke might not like me stretching out his shirt," Johnny told Artoo, because naturally that's where he assumed the shirt came from.
There was something a little..odd and unsettling about this morning. Adah was tempted to liken it to the day after market day, when a good deal of the excitement had died down and you were left looking at the mangoes you'd traded your hairbrush for and wonder if you'd made a terrible choice, because the mangoes would give you a tapeworm and then the mosquitoes would get caught in your unbrushed hair. It had her moving, slightly, more than she would, down to the common room in search for some tea and maybe even some coffee to calm her a little bit. Caffeine, at any rate, and maybe something to eat, but the tapeworms in her mind didn't particularly leave her with a craving for food
( ... )
Johnny was up and moving towards the kitchen to grab some more o.j. when he noticed Adah. He smiled kindly and tried not to get in her way when he poked his head in the fridge, grabbing the carton of orange juice.
The Modern Prometheus didn't have to worry too much about getting in Adah's way; she certainly had enough practice in making sure that she didn't get in the way of others. Because I could not stop for Death, he kindly stopped for me. Hand clutched tightly around it, she curled her still empty mug against her chest as she pressed herself lightly against the counter, her head slowly ducked as she watched the fluid movements of a properly working (and conveniently exposed) body, the simple mechanics of being able to reach for a carton without having to worry about a nerve suddenly deciding otherwise.
After filling his glass, Johnny put the carton away and looked over at her. Politely, he asked, "Can I reach up high, get you anything?" And it was because of height that he asked this, not because he was thinking she couldn't do it herself did she really want to.

He did, however, hear when someone else came in. Glancing over his shoulder, he raised a brow and grinned. "It's a new girl!" In a miniskirt!

So Reno, who was bored, had decided to take the opportunity to wander around the dorms.
The second floor common room, being part of the dorms, happened to also be wandered into.
"Shirtless television watching. Some kinda new trend I should know about?"

"You can wear whatever you want. Not like I care. I was never one to adhere to dress code, yo."

He considers the TV for a moment before he looked back at Reno. "How'd your first day go, all in all?"

He rolled into the second floor common room and paused. Oh no! The poor boy must have been locked out of his room without his clothes!
Anxious to be helpful, Artoo went racing up to Luke's room and then rolled back over to Johnny, shirt held out in his claw.
So helpful!
