Inara wandered in, dressed in warm, soft clothing and a pair of slippers--extremely casual for her. She beamed when she saw Karal. "It's good to see you up and around. Are you feeling better?"
"Inara!" Karal beamed up at her and put his book down, while Altra purred a greeting. "I am, yes. I credit your tea and Andrew's chicken noodle soup for my quick recovery. Would you like some cider?"
He hopped up to pour her some. "Chicken noodle soup. It's a traditional soup of this world, that people give others when they're sick," he explained. "It's very good. Soothing." He smiled as he offered her the mug. "I think we might be the only two people left on the island, it's so quiet."
"There's cider. I'm not sure if it counts as entertaining," Karal replied with a smile. "But I'd be happy to pour you a mug so you could see for yourself."
Jeff had escaped work with some level of efficiency.
Hence, he felt, he was allowed some relaxing time.
The fact that he'd reached entirely the wrong floor didn't seem to bother him in the least. He leapt onto the closest available comfortable surface. "My mother's not coming," he announced to the room.
"There was some hoppy animal thing, and then it just started growing. I have no idea," she explained, running a hand over the top of her head like she still wasn't used to it.
Jack's super sniffer picked up the smell of cider, and he decided to investigate. His super sniffer was backed up by Hungry Stomach. They made a good team.
