Fourth Floor Common Room, Thursday afternoon

Victor needed to flee the confines of the room he shared with Longbottom for a time, so he brought his notebooks out into the common room and put up a sign saying "DO NOT DISTURB."

Because that was going to go over well in a public space.

Zack wasn't sure why he was in the fourth floor common room instead of the third.

It probably had something to do with the coffee.

Mmm...caffeine.

"Can't you read?" Victor asked, not bothering to look up.

"A couple of different languages," Zack replied, sipping his coffee.

"Then did you just not see the sign?" Victor asked. "Perhaps you need glasses."

"I've got food," Hoshi announced as she walked into the common room loaded down with groceries from Turtle & Canary. Granted, it was food that had to be cooked, but Hoshi had been doing her share of cooking lately.

"Prepare it silently or prepare it elsewhere," Victor demanded.

"How silently do you prefer?" asked Hoshi. It was a very valid question to someone with hearing as sensitive as hers.

"Silently enough that it doesn't break my concentration," Victor said, looking back down at his notebooks. "Do your best to be quiet and I'll let you know if you're not successful."

Billy saw the sign, and scoffed. He would be polite in not speaking to anyone who looked like they didn't want to be disturbed, but that was it.

His plan to just get a drink and leave had just changed into making an actual snack and eating it.

Quietly of course.

He waved to the population of the room and then went to the refrigerator.
