The Roof; Sunday Afternoon.

There was a possible threat of rain in the air, but Setsuna didn't mind. The clouds were heavy, but some sun was breaking through, and she knew that with her new powers, even the strongest storm would not dull her senses. In fact, she almost hoped that some thunder would start; she might then be able to test her control of her techniques to ( Read more... )

Billy for one, was hoping for rain. He liked the roof in the rain, it was great for meditating.

"Hey Setsuna."

Only briefly did Setsuna's red eyes slide toward Billy; it was more of a look of annoyance at the sound of a voice than an actual attempt to regard him, though. And then they returned to her notebook, where she was adding new ideas regarding the attempt to use strength to direct a projectory of rock from a technique specifically toward an eye.

Billy shrugged at the indifference, and headed for a spot on the edge of the roof and sat down.

And Setsuna, at this point, could only take so much of a human presence. Her sensitivities were so delicate that she found she couldn't even sleep in her own room, which didn't add much to her mood. Her hand tightened around her pen; unaware of what she was doing, she squeezed until the pen snapped between her fingers and she eyes bolted toward Billy as if he had done it himself. "Of all the places to be sitting," she hissed, her wings spreading with feathers tightening, "must it really be here?"

Jude thumped up the stairs and exploded onto the roof, board in hand. He had to blink before he recognised her, but when he did he had to grin. "Heya, bra."

Setsuna was starting to think that she was better off in the air.

Without looking up from her writing, she muttered, "Refer to me by such a base term of familiarity again, Jude, and I will ensure that you will never again make the mistake, having been robbed of any ability to speak at all. If you think I'm going to continue to accept being on equal terms with any of you, you are severely mistaken."

Jude halted and blinked again, not entirely sure he understood. After a moment, he decided she was joking. Was probably reading those epics again, eh? So he tried to chuckle a little.

"You totally had me scared there for a second, 'Suna-bra. What's up?"

Setsuna laid the pen down with a flat palm and a slight smacking sound before looking up at Jude with a stone expression, annoyance flaring in her eyes. "You should be frightened for more than just a second, Jude, if you insist on continuing with this informality. If any of you humans think you're going to continue to try to hold me down at your level anymore, you'll soon discover that you're gravely mistaken. I could potentially kill you within an approximation of a minute; I do believe that grants me more respect than that."
