It hadn't taken long for Hamlet to pack up everything in his dorm room. Really, he'd been doing little bits of it all over the last week, throwing his things and the bits that Duo had left behind into a suitcase

"Are you gonna buy me nice stuff in Denmark?" Rikku bounced. Bouncing was a good cover for sniffliness. "And if you don't call, you know I'm gonna come over there and hit you, right? And are planes like airships? And, uh, is there anyone I should prank especially hard for you?"
Hamlet liked having his little sister around for company. It made the act of leaving much less lonely.
"I'll both call you and send something as soon as I take care of business and get settled in back home. I'd love to show Denmark, but not under my uncle's thumb."
He smiled. "And prank Anakin Skywalker, if you can. Tell him that it's a gift from the Deep Thoughts Club."
"Ick. No. And no sending me his thumb, either. I mean fun gifts, not really gross Mafia stuff." She stuck her tongue out. "And call me any time you just feel like it 'cause I'm around. And if you're all royalty you can afford the call, yeah?"
She bounced on her toes. "I'll totally prank him. He's really nice, you know. You should call him, too. And, uh, you can always not go yet. If you wanna hang around the rest of the summer. I mean, that'd be cool, or whatever."
"I was going to send you his head and a pike, but it seems as though I'll have to keep them as my own now," he teased. "I should be able to afford whatever calls I want, regardless of what those old windbags in the Danish Parliament have to say about it."
He shook his head sadly. "I can't. I've run out of any past excuses that I've been using as a tetherline to the school. I need to let go, and accept the adult responsibilities that I was meant to bear."
Before leaving for dinner with Parker in DC, Zero tracked Hamlet down. "Who's gonna mutiny naked an' commit random acts of helpful vandalism now that we're leaving?" she sniffled.
Hamlet shook his head. "You'll have to train a whole new army of mutineers while I'm gone. I expect them to be as skilled and formidable in the art of vandalism as we were when we started out."
Although he wouldn't admit it at all, he was starting to get emotional from the memories.
