Mel had also been rummaging through the rubble when he came across Sokka and his boomerang at what appeared to be a very personal moment.

"Um. Do you two need some time alone? I can come back."

"Yes, please," Sokka answered, matter-of-fact-ly. "She doesn't understand, does she?" he asked his boomerang. "No, she doesn't."

"Does it talk back?" Mel asked as pulled out her axe scythe and inspected it for damage.

Hey. It's Fandom. She wouldn't be that surprised.

"No," Sokka informed her, snuggling it close. "It's a BOOMERANG." He looked at her scythe. "Does your... red... thing... talk to you?"

Luke'd had similar thoughts. Giving Sokka a sheepish smile as he arrived, he lifted the chunk of roof off of the locker and tossed it aside using the Force, then reached into the locker find his lightsaber.

"It took weeks to make this thing," he said, petting it not dirty omg.

Sokka's boomerang waved at the lightsaber -- okay, so Sokka waved his boomerang at Luke, but same thing, really.

And Sokka went back to petting his boomerang dirty omg.

Luke blinked. That...had been a little disturbing, yeah.

Gwynn had also made her way to the weapons locker. She dug through things until she found her mother's bow unharmed. She let out a relieved sigh and then dug around for her sword.

"It's all there!" Sokka told her gleefully.

"Oh thank the king..."

"What king? Thank the ALIENS for not destroying the important things!"

Peter arrived to see the other students around the locker. "I hope that nothing was crushed since there's no wailing?" he asked, reaching quickly into the locker and breathing a sigh of relief as his fingers closed around Rhindon's hilt.

[sarcasm_guy]

"Nope! It's allll safe!" Sokka replied, while cuddling his boomerang and cooing at it.

He grinned and pulled his sword out to cradle it in his arms. "This? Is why I don't like leaving him by himself."

"I know," Sokka replied sympathetically. "And I feel naked walking around without my boomerang. Even though I still wear the sheath."

Henry rushed into the remains of the Salle, and like everyone else, rushed to the locker, and found Daisuke. He took out the sword, and looked it over, closely checking for damage. Finally, he breathed a sigh of relief, happy to see that it wasn't harmed.

I want you to get to know him. You can talk to him, but I'll warn you, he's not going to talk back, not in any language you'll be able to understand for quite a while now. The best way to get to know a sword is just to spend time with it.

As Henry put the katana away, he thought about what Setsuna had said at his first lesson. He'd thought that it was an odd thought, then. But now he felt he understood better.
