Lobby: All Day

Posters had whee handwavily gone up in the dorms and town announcing two Student Council sponsored events during Spring Break.  The first being Free Coffee Day on Wednesday, and the second, an Ice Carnival all day Thursday.

When people came down to the lobby on Wednesday, it looked like a set from the coffee shop in Buddies had moved in.  In reality

Unsurprisingly, Zuko was on his way out to get food when he passed by the lobby. His destination changed immediately and he went to grab a couple of sandwiches from the table.

Peter raised a hand to wave at Zuko. "Morning, Zuko. How goes it?"

"Morning," Zuko said before taking a huge bite from his sandwich. "Hungry. What's going on here?"

"Student Council thing," Peter replied. "Since we don't have classes to keep us bored, figured something fun and involving food would be good."

Hermione's going to see if she can't get into the library, but at least the bookstore, but she's a little startled by the new look of the lobby. Plus she's tired and like Willow said, tea cures all British ills.

She gets a cup, still trying really hard not to scratch at the bandage on her left hand.

"Morning, Hermione," Peter said. "How do you do?"

"Very well, and you?" she says, even if she's a little tired. "The lobby looks a bit different today..."

"Fine, thank you," Peter replied with a bit of a grin. "We thought everyone had a right to be lazy over Spring Break. So we got the Perk to move here for the day and give free coffee."

When Anders wandered down to the lobby and smelled the free coffee, it was like a shining bright spot in a week full of craptasticness and he went straight up to the poor unsuspecting barista. "Oh my gods, have you moved in here for good?!?"

He didn't let the horrified stare he got in response stop him from ordering the biggest mocha possible, with double espresso.

Isabel didn't think anything of Sunday night's radio. Monday's made her eyebrow raise just a bit, and last night's? Well that caused twitching of an entirely different nature. Still, she wondered exactly how well Anders was coping with everything.

"All that sugar and caffiene is going to have you bouncing off the walls," she said, taking a sip of her own mocha.

"I could use the bounciness," Anders said with a shrug, sipping at the Mocha of Doom. He wondered what exactly had been said on the radio, and how much she'd heard. "Hey, big sis."

"Yes, but can the rest of us? What happens if you start bouncing off the ceiling? There'd be dust and pieces of ceiling tile everywhere," she teased.

Setsuna (the philistine) was happy to find free offerings of tea and soup that would do her weary body and mind good. She tried not to flop too much onto a couch, hoped the deep sigh of minor relief wasn't too obvious.

Ami waved to Setsuna from her seat on the couch.

Setsuna blinked a little at Ami, as if she was surprised to see her. "Ami!" she said finally. //"There you are; I handwavily went to your room earlier, but you weren't there."// She frowned. //"I was worried."//

Buffy liked free coffee, sandwiches and boardgames, so she showed up, got the things she liked and found a sofa to sit down in.

Peter waved to Buffy. "How do you do?"

"Hey Peter!" Buffy waved back. "I'm good! Except..." She trailed off, pouting a little. "I thought Fencing would have started by now."

Buffy really wanted to learn how to swing sharp pointy things around without killing herself in the process.

Peter shook his head. "I know. My apologies. There were issues with my mun being an idiot the salle and arrangements. As soon as the holiday is over, I promise."
