Crib Sheet to Greek Beasties

This is just a very rough guide to the invading critters, so everyone has an idea what to expect. The centaurs, gryphons and stymphalian birds are our shock troops - there are lots of them, as many as are needed, and they can be in multiple places at once. The rest of the beasties are one-offs.

Stymphalian birds - these are birds with wings of brass and sharp metallic feathers they can launch at victims. Their dung is highly toxic, so don't get hit with guano. And our stymphalian birds have a hallucinogenic substance on some of their feathers, so if you get cut, you might also get very stoned.

Satyr - half man, half goat, he is a horny beast. He is a lover of wine, women and boys, and will try to lure anyone away for an assignation in the woods. He may get pushy and aggressive in his advances, but is a coward and will flee if threatened sufficiently.

Scylla - she is a horribly grotesque sea-monster with six long necks equipped with grisly heads, and a body with twelve canine legs and a cat's tail. As a sea-monster, she is stuck in the water, but she can migrate from water source to water source through the power of handwavey.

Talon - giant man made of bronze. Nuff said.

Minotaur - human with bull hooves, bull tail, bull head, and ferocious.

Manticore - body of a lion, a human head with three rows of sharp teeth and a trumpet-like voice, and the tail of a scorpion - poison yay!

Lamia - snake from the waist down, woman from the waist up, with a big stabby spear and an appetite for children.

Harpy - bird from the waist down, woman from the waist up, nasty sharp claws and teeth and big wings.

Cyclops - not the emo one. One eye, vicious fighter

Chimera - lion's fore-quarters and head, goats hind quarters, snake for a tail, and it breathes fire.

The bull and the boar are pretty self-explanatory. Great big nasty animals who want to keel you!
