Friending List, the Days of Yore Edition!

It's not exactly the same as when we were able to use the Admin Console for the Friending List but the amazing never_dull has brought us a holiday miracle all the same: mass-friending scripts for both Windows and Mac users!

If your journal is brand new to the friending list, you can go GO HERE, follow the updated instructions, and add all of the current ( Read more... )

Just a quick heads up that Ronan's username has an underscore. The other username will get someone not affiliated with the game friended.

Arrgh, I fixed that everywhere else, and then missed it in the most important place! Thanks for catching it.

Not even that, since it's not a journal that exists, apparently. But thanks for saying something so that I can add you manually from here. :D

Psst - The clicky link after raspberryturk has an extraneous s at the end.

Also, since apparently Jalian's roommate is going away, is it too late to get her a new one?

TOO SLOW I JUST FIXED THAT S SO THERE.

And there aren't any leftover empty spaces among the roomie pairs, so Jalian gets a single this term. (Unless you bump into someone else with a non-new character who'd like a roomie -- you can move existing characters in together any time just by letting us know.)

Well, poo. If I'd known... Thanks, though!

(I saw that S, I did!)

Would there be call for a defriending script? I could do one.

I *think* (wouldn't swear, though) that if you run the current script on the filter-movers, it should move them.

There might be a call for a defriending script? It's not usually a very long list, though; it depends if people would want to make a new text file and run a different script for what's sometimes only a handful of names.

As far as I can tell, the current script doesn't work on the filter movers. It checks to see if you already have those journals friended, and once it sees that you do, it chucks them out of the action.

Oh, right! Sorry; that was a late addition, to try avoiding LJ's limit as much as possible. But without that check, I think it would - again, I can do one if there's a call, but with such a small list usually... *shrug*

Hm. Or we could have three arguments per line:
journal name, group, action

And do one script to add, move, or delete. If you think it'd be helpful and you don't mind the extra maintenance work on the list, let me know!
