Grissom entered the classroom, uncharacteristically late, and began a dense and rapid-fire lecture on Prisoner Rights and Correctional Law.

He also seems to have an assignment to pass out, but obviously forgets, and dismisses the class before he can hand it out.

Phoebe signs in and takes a seat close to the back. Her eyes are puffy and there are dark shadows beneath her eyes. She may or may not be taking notes or paying attention and she doesn't really look at anyone.

Veronica signs in and tries to avoid looking at Phoebe, especially when Grissom starts the lecture.

But she sneaks a couple looks and feels her guilt mount as she realizes how haggard Phoebe looks.

Phoebe turns to look at Piper, because she does understand why her sister was trying to protect Cole, but her eyes caught a glimpse of Veronica and she froze.

She looked away, but not before her eyes told Veronica exactly what she thought right now.

"I haven't seen her since Soc of Violence," Piper said, frowning slightly. "She, um, kinda ran out of class."
