Frank found an empty spot at the food table where he could set up his own personal drink stand. He did some math in his head, set up a few bottles, placed a few glasses next to them, and gazed around thoughtfully.
"If I pace myself, this might just barely get me through this picnic," he declared before pouring a second glass. Yes, he already finished his first. He was PACING HIMSELF.

Kathy was reaching for the bowl of potato salad resting just at the edge of the table Frank had claimed for his own. She glanced at him, giving him a reflexive smile, only to have her jaw drop at the several bottles that he'd placed there.
"Oh my gosh, did you hit up Caritas on your way in?" she blurted out before she could help it.

"Ahhh, no?" Kathy said. "Caritas is the bar on the island that serves minors. I just figured from the looks of things--wait, did you bring all this with you?"

"...Barely recognized authority?" Kathy asked. "You mean like state and federal law?"
Not that either seemed to apply to the island much, much like the law of physics or whatever. But they generally at least paid lip service to the concept!

"Depending on what you're taking, it could really be dangerous," Kathy pointed out. "Drinking and chemistry or drinking and live combat--" which was a much more likely class to be taught here than chem, honestly, "--probably don't mix well."

"You're not worried one of the teachers is gonna see you with all this liquor and take it away?" she asked. "You are underage, aren't you?"
Maybe he was Canadian and 18 or something?
