I don't know that we're likely to go back, though, since Father seems to like it here, so may as well learn as much as I can about getting along in this time."

"It was going to be quite the adjustment no matter what, after the convent," Cosette admitted with a laugh, "though I hadn't expected it to be this much of one. I don't mind, though. I like learning about new things, and that makes it less daunting -- especially since it means learning about a lot of things that make life easier."
