As the last graduate took his seat with his diploma, a faint rumble rattled the folding chairs.
The noise grew louder and the tremors grew worse and true to Fandom graduation protocols, a invisible, impenetrable dome came down to separate the graduates from the rest of the audience.

If someone was being VERY observant, they may have noticed a dark figure almost perfectly hidden in a nearby tree. The Batman was waiting for a threat to spill outside the wall.
Once it was clear this wouldn't happen, he was gone.
Toward the end of the fighting, Bruce made his way back to his seat with a flask in hand. "I didn't miss the whole thing, did I?"

This little Diglett was literally jittering with excitement to be here! Or... no, actually, that wasn't what he was doing. He was going too fast too deliberately for that to be a genuine happy jitter--
--and then the ground started shaking around him.
"DIGLETT-DIG! DIGLETT-DIG!"
Several dozen of his friends popped up out of the ground to follow suit. Hold on to your hats, kids. These Digletts aren't stopping.
Neither are the localized earthquakes. Was that the empty graduate seating section that just tumbled into a fissure in the ground? Why yes, yes it was.
