"Today is
Opening and
Closing statements," Nathan said. "In Opening statements you want to tell the jury why they're there, state your case, and state how you're going to prove your case. In Closing statements you want to tell the jury what you proved, what the other side failed to prove, and what verdict you want them to give.
"You're going to practice today with the case of
Police vs. Jack Jones." Nathan indicated the sheet with the information. "Don't worry about all of the sections. Just skim it to get the details you need for your statements. Pair up. One of you is the prosecution, the other is the defense. Good luck."
