Dealing With Stupid People [Monday, June 18, 2nd period]

Jun 17, 2007 23:18

"Did anyone else got a lot of incredibly stupid messages on Friday?" Josh asked as he stood outside a fake Metro station in the Danger Shop. "If so, I certainly hope you remembered all of your training from this class and left an incredibly random message in return. It certainly made me feel better."

Take the Metro! professor_lyman June 18 2007, 06:22:42 UTC
Yellow line to the Red Line, end up at Farragut North, walk to the White House, avoid stupid people.

Ah, if it was only that easy.

Despite being able to drive, Z picked this option, as it included not having to look for a parking space. Now all she needed was a partner.

Zack came up to Z. "I don't really like the idea of driving."

"Me, either," said Z. "You wanna brave the subway with me?"

Drive to DC! professor_lyman June 18 2007, 06:24:09 UTC
Alexandria Metro to 395, across the 14th Bridge and a left hand turn towards Pennsylvania Avenue.

Ah, if it was only that easy.

Being able to drive is not a requirement to make this choice. Hell, it's probably not even an advantage.

This can't be too hard. Hermione's never driven a car, but this will just be a learning experience.

Well, if everyone else was going to try the train, Will decided to take a chance and drive there. Since Hermione was already over by a car, she decided to head over there.

"Hey. Got a partner yet?"

"Not yet," she says. "I'm sure this is much easier, but no one else seems to be doing it, so that might give us an advantage."

Karal might have been looking just a bit cautious as he approached Josh. "Excuse me, sir? I just wanted to apologise for missing last week's class. I was called home unexpectedly."

"Don't worry about it," Josh said. "It's not like I keep track. Well, I do, but not like I do during the year. Things pop up. I totally understand. Everything okay at home?"

"It is the same as it was when I first left," he replied, smiling a little in relief. "Well, mostly. Thank you. Umm, is there anything I need to do to make up for it?"

It's sad that I haven't lived in DC for almost five years and can still rattle that off, huh?

Just pinging down here to say that, with my vacation coming up soon and the side-plot that I've just run with Valentine in it drawing to a close, Valentine won't be in Fandom itself for the rest of the term. I loved these classes, and dangit, I'm sorry that I won't be able to attend any more of them. Ah, great lessons learned about dealing with idiots!
