Fandom High Lawn (All Day)

Everyone was thankful that the weather had cleared up enough for the Welcome Party to be held outside. Tables were set up with food and nametags, as well as what seemed to be requisite balloons and glitter. There was also a sign up listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, for those who had volunteered, and plenty of room to socialize

Number 6 didn't need a sibling. He'd been here before, dammit. Even if he hadn't, he had no requirement for a personal propaganda machine squawking nonsense at him.

He chafed at having to wear his number. Rest assured he only did it so that he could dispose of the unnecessary "sibling" more expediently.

Isabel had checked the list and blinked at her little brother's name. With a shrug, she searched through the crowd, smiling when she finally located him. "Hello! Welcome to Fandom."

"Hmph. I suppose you're my Big Sister or something along those lines." He smiled, tight and bemused. "They've taken care to give me an attractive one. It'll do them no good. Your name. Your real name, if you please."

"Umm...thanks, I think." Isabel held out her hand and adopted the usual Fandom attitude when confronted by odd behavior, she went with it. "Yes, I'm Isabel Evans, your big sister. It's nice to meet you."

Number 6 regarded her hand dismissively. "Charmed, I'm sure." He sniffed. "I should spare you the trouble of inoculating me. I've been here before. I know their games and I refuse to play them and I don't need a second introduction to the rules."

Her hand hung there for a moment before she shrugged and pulled it back. "Okay then. So if you've been here before you don't need the usual warnings about Gremlins and random invasions?"

"My dear girl, I was on the front line of the zombie invasion. I don't remember you there," he said, and then he was struck by a thought. "The date. What's the date?"
