AUCTION Offer: fanfiction, original fiction

Fandom/s: Starsky and Hutch, Alias Smith and Jones, The Professionals, Common Law, Top Gear (private only), original story

Bid Requirements: $1 starting bid for fic of at least 1,000 words

Won't Write: Anything above Pg-13, sorry! Plus, I'm not very good at slash, or any pairings, really. If requested, I'll try but will not post, only send to you privately because it'll probably suck; you've been warned!!

Additional Notes: Please give me a prompt!!! And did I mention the sucking at pairings thing? Also, I think I'm best at mushy stories or happy stories without too much plot. But I'll try to use plot. I mean, if you want me to. :)

*Woot!* someone who is actually "offering" private fic *happy dance* I love private fic, it's the best present ever! :P

How about Top Gear, James hurt/comfort? I've kind of been craving it since the Middle East special :D
I bet I can come up with lots of ways to "hurt" James *evil grin*

I usually slash Richard/James but I can do friendship fic just as easily as slash. Also, I love mushy \o/

What sort of word-count would you be comfortable with? So I know how much to bid? :D

Mushy friendship with some H/C sounds like my cup of tea. :)

For a minimum bid, a ~1,000 word fic. But if you give me a prompt I can really get into and I get going, I could easily get to 3-5,000 words for a larger bid. So you decide! :) The likelihood of me being able to write a longer fic would also increase if you gave me more than one prompt to pick from. :)

Yes, it would be private fic because I wouldn't want the Stig to hunt me down if I posted publicly... >.>;;

Eeeeeee *happy flailing* mushy friendship with James h/c it is! :D

How about a starting point of $5 and if you see a prompt you like we'll discuss wordcount and maybe taking it up to $10? Or if you like more than one prompt, I'm happy to donate for multiple fics :D

Clarification... waltzmatildah November 6 2012, 07:35:19 UTC
I just wanted to clarify what's actually going on here because [at the moment anyway!!] it's not taking much to confuse me and... this whole thing is making me very confused!!

Because this is the auction thread, not the buy it now thread [with the auction component of this fundraiser not closing until the end of the month], are you making a starting bid of $5.00 with the understanding that you might be out-bid?

And if you DO win, then your winning bid will be matched [at least] by sarahenany if she is also forwarded a copy?

Am I on the right track?!

Thank you!!

*facepalm* ok, I feel very red-faced and stoooopid right now *headdesk*

I thought I was in the buy now section...sorry to break your poor brain :(

Yes, starting bid of $5 and will fight to win it!

p.s. yes, if I win this then sarahenany has promised to match my bid for a chance to read my fic :)

What you proposed sounds so absolutely cool that I'll match or exceed your winning bid if you'll allow hutchynstarsk to send me a copy for my own reading, with the understanding that I just get to read it, not allowed to share it with anyone else.

Since you asked so nicely and promised not to share, yes, I'll allow you to read it :)

Match Donation? waltzmatildah November 29 2012, 22:11:12 UTC
green_wing was the highest bidder. As discussed, are you still willing to match the donation for access to the fic?

Thank you!

But of course! Thanks for the heads-up. BTW, I need to email you confirmation of payment for a request I'd made and which was fulfilled - could you redirect me to the page where you explain how to write up the email for the Spreadsheet of Doom (TM)? Thank you so much.

p.s.
I'd better be sure we have the same definition of private fic: it means (to me) i never post the story, you never post the story, but I am still the author, and I can share it privately if I ever feel inclined (because I'm still the author).
If you define it differently it would be best to know before you bid! :)

Private fic to me means not posted publically and (preferably) not shared with anyone else, but I'm willing to make exceptions if the person it's shared with promises not to share :)
You retain full ownership, I'm just the lucky reader who doesn't have to share "my precious" *evol laugh*

Does that sound ok? If so, hell yes! I can come up with prompts galore for inflicting ouchies on poor James *LOL*

Why yes, I am e-vol kitteh ;D

Thanks for your response. :)

I know it's academic, because I probably won't share it with anyone at all, but I just need it to be my decision. I can't feel like I'm giving up my rights to a story I write right now. It's important to me to be able to decide if/what/when I share something, even when I never post it online. :)

Thanks for your reply. :)

Ok, I can agree to it being your decision if you don't think you'll end up sharing :)
