I don't remember. I was mostly using it as an example of the punctuation, not the actual words.

Speech tags were broken. He said. is not a sentence and does not need a period - or to be there if there's a period inside quotes ;-)

Riker/Chakotay- I never actually even considered this pairing before. It probably helps that I've read next to nothing in either fandom, but still. They could be very interesting together.
