I had to wait because the first download was broken and it stopped at Tosh taking Tommy home and then the second download was only at 80 percent but OMG my love for Tosh has never been greater.
She was so *young* and *beautiful* and *light* when she was with Tommy and I knew, knew she was going to have to use that line as soon as he said it in the pub but it was still heartbreaking.
And her scenes with Owen and Jack, especially at the end. And Jack knowing she was strong enough, even when I don't think she really did.
And her walking away from Owen in the end and partly smiling and partly crying and just. Oh so much love.
Also, I know I know that last song from somewhere else but it's driving me crazy because I can't think of what it was.
Well you also ought to squee about the lighting and direction in the corridor shots that were creepy as fuck, as well as Jack's backstory nods to WWI (no suprise there) and the care he took over Toshiko, how he paid attention to the team.
Which is in part where I think 'his' reaction to Ianto's kiss comes from.
Really good balanced teamwork in this one too - but WHAT were wardrobe thinking when they dressed Toshiko?
Have meta/reviewed. I'd say I'm 85-92% positive if you want to risk coming over to read. And yes, it's long. I'm fucking cursed not to be able to meta with brevity.
