"Hey," She called to Sam and Dean, "either of you have Babs records? Maybe Yentil?"

That got another round of laughs. "She means Barbara Streisnand, stupid," Sam corrected. Then he blushed when he realized how volunteering that information sounded. "No Yentil. No Streisand, I swear!"

Everyone looked at Willow questioningly.
"What?" Willow asked, sounding surprised that she needed to explain herself. "Don't tell me I'm the only one here that watched Tiny Toon Adventures? You know, 'We're tiny, we're toony, we're all a little loony...'"
Everyone just looked at Willow like *she* was more than a little loony. Sighing, she admitted, "Yeah, I'm a geek."

Tara laughed at that, and suddenly realized that the ball was coming towards her. "G-got it!" she managed, stepping up to the ball and trying to hit it with an underhand bump.
And she actually hit it - but it bounced off her forearms, not her fists, and instead of going deep into the center of the other side, it was just barely going to get back over the net - if it would make it at all. "Oops."

Molly jumped up and hit the ball back even as she laughed. It stung. The basketball was not only heavier but harder than a proper volleyball. But the tension relief and camaraderie would more than make up for a few red marks from over-enthusiastic hit.
"Hey, doesn't matter to me how you are. But you should be open about it and embrace your own sexuality." Molly called back.
She felt her grin fade when she caught site of Hugh Emmerson watching the game from not to far away. He turned around and walked away, towards the trees.
Damn and blast!
He had heard Tommy screaming in his (Hugh's) own voice. Saw what remained of the body he'd been born with. Now Hugh was young again, healthy, capable, and possessed a connection to the ocean and spirit world. All at the expense of Tommy Whitehorse. Tommy, who had embraced his own homosexuality. Tommy who had been a friend of Hughs through similar interests.
Molly wanted to chase after Hugh, but what could she say? And he most likely did want to be alone.

"Room for another?" Ami called out.
"Only if you don't cheat," George teased.
"Cheat?" Ami asked, innocently. "How could I possibly cheat?"
"You know, that whole 'I move things without touching them," George snickered.
"Oh that," Ami rolled her eyes dramatically and followed up with the batting of her eyes. "Wouldn't dream of it."

He wasn't really taking the game all that seriously, it was a fantastic way to blow off steam and ease alot of the tension that had been building. And he just knew he was getting a sunburn in the process. Years in space had left him just a shade darker than a ghost and now that he and Aeryn were island bound, his skin was pinking up rather quickly.
"Head's up, space cadet!" he shouted at Aeryn, grinning.

"Can I play?" Hurley looked like he was a bit concerned that he'd be turned away.
Molly wondered how often he was the last picked for a team in school
"Come on over here, Hurley. We need a bit more testosterone." She gestured to the Sharks side of the net while watching the ball.
Michael showed up and joined the other team to keep sides even. Walt and Sue sat close by watching.
"Man this game is stupid." Walt made a face.
"You're just saying that because you aren't playing it." Sue pointed out. The two of them were not allowed out of 'adult' sight since last week.
"Comeon, Dude, you hit lik e GIRL." Hurley called to John Crichton.

Then it was a skip further to the left as Ripley swooped in and spiked the ball to the other side of the court.
Sue whistled, "Way to go! Teamwork!"
"You're not part of the team," Walt complained.
"Yeah, but I know a good play when I see one," Sue tossed back.
"From where I'm standing, they all play like girls," Sawyer shouted from where he drifted and tried to pretend that he wasn't drifting or even interested. "I seen better volleyball played with a bunch of fifth graders."

"Put your money where your mouth is, Catfish." Molly alled back to Sawyer. "Come show us how it's done then."
It didn't matter that this was mostly Jungle Ball. Considering the venue...
"He doesn't wanna muss up his hair." Sue egged them on.
