WHEN: Day 37, early to mid afternoon
WHERE: Treeline
INVITED: Anyone wanting to learn or do weaving
STATUS: Complete

Oona sat in the shade along the tree line, her head protected by a grass hat more Asian looking than western.  Sue sat on the other side of a big mound of dried grass and a pail of water.  In front of them Molly sat with Marie, and a bunch of palm leaves.

“This is the simplest mat. “ Oona demonstrated how to knot and tuck the ends to it all stayed together.  “And you can make these pretty big with the size of those leaves.”

So far only Marie had joined them for lessons.  But the weaving was open to all.  Sue was making another soft shoulder basket out of grass.  They were very handy in carrying bigger loads.  Oona planned on a braided grass rug as soon as she finished the simple mats for all newcomers.

Molly was… “Molly, please tell me that isn’t a voodoo doll.”

“It isn’t a voodoo doll.” The redhead grinned and continued to work.

“But it is a doll.  The base of a teddy for Aaron?” Oona asked, hopefully.

“Nope. I said it wasn’t a voodoo doll, not that it wasn’t for magic.” Molly explained.

Oona looked afraid to ask, but was apparently unable to stop herself.  “Is that a grass…”

“Penis, yes.  You can say the word, right?  Because if you can’t even say it, you certainly can’t do anything with it.” Molly began humming as she added some locks of sand colored hair to the grasses.

“I don’t have one to do anything with.”  Oona was turning an interesting shade of pink.

Sue’s shoulders were shaking, and she finally fell over laughing.

Oona gave a long suffering look to Marie.  “You see what I have to put up with?”
