Hmmm, it's always interesting to look at the details of words one thinks one knows. For example, I thought that plethora had a numerical turn of meaning, similar to myriad; but I didn't grasp the numerical connotation of paucity.

Very entertaining entry!

Paucity always reminds me of paunch, which is an overly big belly, and never gives me the correct visual mnemonic. :-)

Also, exiguous means "excessively scanty", which never fails to oxymoronically tickle my funnybone.
