An anonymous requestor asked us, "Should nouns following a number other than 'one/1' be plural? What about 'no' or 'zero' -should the noun be in plural form? Is there any case when a noun following 'no' or 'zero' stays singular?"

My gosh! I begin to see why I have no head for languages: they're damn hard work! If I hadn't grown up speaking English I'm quite sure I wouldn't've been able to learn it. /o\

Well, that's the thing, of course: you don't really think about it if you learned the language as a child. It's likely that if someone talked about buying a "four-cups measuring cup," you'd know something was off somehow even if you didn't instantly spot the nature of the error.
