My favorite beta rips my stories apart and sends them back to me in shreds, and I love her for it. Not that she's had much opportunity to do that lately, but, er. . . >.>

I'm the same way, but I think that's because I'm kind of masochistic. I know when I get the SJ finished Em is going to make he cry with all her semi-colon talk. :p

This was a really interesting read, and definitely has some things to keep in mind! Thanks so much! ;-)

I'd be interested in what you have to say about co-writing and beta-work, especially in relation to each writer staying within their character's POV, so therefore the fic tends to 'head-hop' as you call it, simply because it's co-written.

Thank you very much! I'm going to address betas and writers working together in my next part of this feature, which will be posted this Friday. I believe we're going to keep the co-writing for it's own topic, but I'm glad you brought it up. *g*

I look forward to part two, and I am seriously glad to hear co-writing is coming up as I do a lot of it, and am especially interested in beta approaches to it.
