Thank you! I've never even considered whether it was singular or plural, so now I've learnt something before straining my brain for once!

:-) I always thought it was singular until I came on a usage of 'datum' a few years ago...

It's good to know that I can safely ignore 'datum' and free up the space in my brain that would've been used trying to keep the two words straight! :-D
