Really feel for all the people in Victoria who are struggling to get through this horrible flooding. So much re-building to do. It will be a long recovery period for Australia. I just hope that months down the track when the waters are gone (they'd better be at least) that support will still be readily available for these communities. Once the adrenaline is over the help is harder to come by.

Thanks for keep everyone up to date on what's happening so that it stays fresh in their minds.

My thoughts exactly. And the thoughts in this article about Grantham (the guy could honestly be related to me, he looks like one of my uncles.)

I was reading this in my café, when I started to tear up. One of the baristas came over and asked if I was okay (it's testosterone day in the café, no women at the espresso machine).

Bloody hell, that has to be one of the best articles I've read. Can't see the keys properly for tears.

Good thing I'm at home reading this! How sweet that he come to see if you were ok. *pets nice barista for his kindness* Even though it probably embarrassed the hell out of you.

My mate from work was telling about her Dad who lives up on the hill near Grantham. He was safe and sound as he watch his mates homes wash away. He's a mess she said. Survivor guilt sucks.

I'll add this link when I post your update link to my lj, others need to read this.

The guys there are nice, and can handle me teasing them since I'm in there every day. (They're gorgeous too). So, yes, it was sweet.

Survivor's guilt has been on people's minds lately. That's why Lifeline and the Salvos are so important. They realize the need for long-term counselling.
