FTEC, Saturday Night, March 25

Mar 25, 2006 20:21

Tommy was at his desk, smoking a cigarette.

Once again there were no dead people in his clinic.

He considered this a bonus.

Peter had finally decided to see if the people at the FTEC could do anything to help him out with his arms problem. At least he had gotten a really good night out of the way before anything anyone here might do.

He walked into the FTEC with two arms at his sides, two hands clasped behind his back, and two hands with twiddling thumbs. "Hello? I was wondering if I could get some help here."

Tommy stared at him for a long time.

"Lemme guess: Erectile dysfunction?"

"If by 'erectile' you mean 'arms' and by 'dysfunction' you mean 'comma lots of them,' then yes, first try," Peter said. "You wouldn't know anything about genetic manipulation, would you?"

"Oh yeah," Tommy said, flicking his ashes into a tray. "Tons. Why?"

Just about the time the Perk closed, CJ walked in with a couple cups of coffee. Normal for him, naturally.

"Heya, Tommy. Staying awake?"

"Hey, Legs," he said. "Doing my best. How's your night going?"

She shrugged, "Duke got eliminated from the NCAA championships, so that ruined that. Pretty much don't care unless I can root against them."

She flopped back in the chair and took a sip, "How come you never call me CJ? It's always Legs, or something."

"I tend to tune out unless the Redmen are playing," Tommy admitted. He shrugged. "Dunno. Just what I think of you."
