Natalie arrived at the clinic as close to six as possible, taking great care to keep to the shadows and out of the direct sunlight. There was a busy air about the clinic; the energy and goodwill generated by Janet's 'Chosen One Blood Drive' still lingered, almost palpable. The front desk stays fairly deserted during the night shift, with Natalie passing back and forth on occasion as she runs from her desk, to the lab, to exam 1, and back again. If you say something, it should get her attention.

Janet walked in with a hamburger--medium rare, even though she knew full well exactly what microorganisms could be hiding in there--an order of fries, and a large soda, then plopped down at a spare desk so she could eat dinner.

"I've been borrowing your lab again today, Dr. Lambert," said Janet. "I hope that's all right." They're such fun shiny toys.

Parker walked in, looking for Janet, or any of the doctors, arms folded defensively again. "I found out why no drugs."

Nat rounded the corner from the lab, eyes scanning over a piece of paper with (presumably) some screen results. She had some reservations about someone so young dealing with the lab equipment, but Janet seemed very well educated -- a little too educated...There was one thing Nat had learned in her brief time at Fandom, however: Appearances can be deceiving.

Just take a look in the mirror, she thought derisively.

Externally, she smiled. "Go for it. I've actually continued that whole organization thing, so you should have an easier time tonight." She then turned her attention to Parker. "No drugs?"

Janet walked into the lab, wondering just exactly what it was going to be this time. Because it was bound to be something.

Natalie looked up as Janet entered, busily prepping a couple of trays with Angel's contaminated blood and some pipets of "Chosen Blood." "I wanted to do a final test," she explained. "I want to make sure before we try to convince him to drink human blood again."

It didn't seem like it would be possible, but Angel looked worse. Spasms jumped along his muscles. His face was contorted with pain. He could possibly talk a little, but he didn't look like he could give too much.

Veronica stopped by the clinic to see how Angel was doing. The conversation they'd had last night had bothered her a lot more than she had realized.

She walked in and stopped inside the door, blinking at how much pain he appeared to be in.

Janet came into the exam room, a somewhat large pitcher of blood in one hand and a tumbler in the other.

When Janet comes into the room, John gives Angel's arm one last pat before backing away from the bed and standing at the foot of Angel's bed.

Phoebe finished the spell with her sisters and then took a seat on a portion of the floor outside of Angel's room. She sat with her back against the wall and her knees drawn up to her chin... and she prayed to whomever might be listening.

Please, whomever is up there... don't take him from us. There are too many people who need him... too many people who will break if they lose him. He's a good man and he doesn't deserve to go out like this.
