The events of the day had worn Angel out. He hurt, his fever was raging, and he was not going to wake up for anyone or anything tonight, no matter what.

Bel softly called Angel's name a few times, but it became quickly apparent that the vampire was not going to wake up. Damn. He settled in a chair beside the bed and waited for Alphonse to arrive.

Alphonse came in not too soon after Bel did. He looked over at Angel, and while Alphonse hadn't run into him before, he could tell he was in pretty bad shape. He stood nearby. "Is he asleep?"

Bel looked over at Angel. "Yeah, he just passed out again," he lied. "He said it was okay to try the alchemy thing, though." Right now he wasn't even sure if Angel would wake up again to give true permission, so he was willing to take the blame on himself if things went badly.
